The question behind it
A move is usually decided on the strength of a role, a property or a school, and the rest is discovered afterwards. What is available locally, what is not, how an ordinary difficulty is resolved, and what a household will be relied upon to manage alone.
The question is not whether Tunisia is safe. It is what this particular household, or this particular posting, will be exposed to, and which of those exposures can be settled before the move rather than after it.
What is examined
The place itself. The specific neighbourhood or site rather than the country, examined on the ground and not on national averages.
Daily reliability. Access, utilities, health provision, schooling, transport and the arrangements a household will depend on without noticing.
The household. Composition, working pattern, movement, visibility and anything that changes the picture for one family and not another.
What to settle first. The matters worth resolving before commitment, separated from those that can wait.
Decisions it supports
For a family, whether to proceed, where to live and what to arrange first. For an employer, whether a posting can be supported responsibly, what duty of care the move creates, and what a director can show was considered before an employee and a family were sent.
